Kiyana graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, concentrating in Active Health and Rehabilitation. Her interest in kinesiology grew from a passion for movement and understanding how exercise can help people regain function and improve their quality of life.
Since beginning her clinical practice, Kiyana has gained experience working with individuals with concussions, chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, and balance and vestibular-related concerns, as well as those experiencing limitations in their daily activities and work. Through this work, she has developed a particular interest in concussion rehabilitation and helping individuals gradually return to their daily activities, work, and the things they enjoy. She has also completed training in Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE), further expanding her knowledge of functional assessment and return-to-work rehabilitation.
Kiyana believes rehabilitation is about more than just exercise. She strives to create a positive and supportive environment where patients feel comfortable, encouraged, and motivated throughout their recovery. She enjoys building genuine connections with her patients and finds it especially rewarding to see them leave their sessions feeling more confident and positive.
Outside of the clinic, Kiyana enjoys swimming and roller skating and has an interest in fashion and makeup. She is also a dog lover and enjoys staying active in her free time.
