Website Use/Restrictions
User/Member login: You are responsible to protect your ID and password and are made aware that you assume any and all liability for illegal access gained through the use of your ID and password. If your ID and password are compromised you should report it immediately to the BCAK office by telephone or email and if possible change your password to protect against future compromise.
Prohibited use: You are prohibited from posting or transmitting harmful or illegal content, interfering with or compromising the website’s operation, attempting to hack or gain illegal entry into password protected areas of the Site and/or taking any actions that will create an unreasonably large load on the Site’s infrastructure that may disable or disrupt the normal operation of the Site.

Social Media Usage Policy
The British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) is pleased to offer social networking pages (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) as avenues for open discussion, networking, and information sharing between association members, industry professionals, and/or members of the public.
By using these pages, you are agreeing to comply with BCAK social networking usage guidelines.
This space is for member and/or public usage; all persons posting videos, comments and links on any of the BCAK platform pages acknowledge that these are publicly visible, and may be copied, shared or otherwise reproduced, and the BCAK accepts no liability for reposting, misuse or abuse of posted materials by other persons accessing any of the platforms.
BCAK will to the best of its ability monitor its social media pages and remove inappropriate content without notice, and at the its sole discretion of its moderator(s) or board of directors. Inappropriate content includes but is not limited to:
- Offensive language and/or content
- Hateful or discriminatory messaging
- Unsolicited advertising/event/job postings
- Off-topic or irrelevant content
*Any content that appears to be in breach of federal or provincial Human rights legislation, privacy legislation or any other act of law may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Content shared is for informational purposes only and may be of value to BCAK members or members of the public. Articles, videos, images, and other media are shared based on topic relevancy to encourage constructive discussion on a topic without the necessity to agree or disagree with the views or opinions expressed and as such, do not necessarily represent the views and opinions of the association and the BCAK accepts no responsibility for the opinions contained within.
Videos, comments, links, and images posted by the BCAK moderator, any other person or group other than by Resolution of the Board of Directors, do not represent the official views and opinions of the organization, and as such the BCAK accepts no liability for the content posted on the page.
Paid job and event postings accepted by the BCAK and made through the Site may receive a complimentary social media posting of the related job or event announcement at the discretion of the BCAK.
