I have 8 years experience as a practicing Kinesiologist. Initially, I began my post grad career working for a Pediatric Physiotherapist completing Aqua-Therapy programs for children ranging in ages 1-18. I then moved on to become a mobile Kinesiologist completing assessments and creating active rehab and return to work programs for ICBC clients across the lower mainland. I work closely with a team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to provide each client with their rehabilitation needs. My mobile Kinesiologist position has afforded me the opportunity to hone my physical assessment, exercise prescription, program coaching and reporting skills. I am comfortable working in varying settings such as home, gym and pool-based programs depending on the client’s needs. I also work as an OT Assistant where I facilitate cognitive exercises for traumatic brain injuries, exposure therapy for PTSD and support clients with other mental health disorders completing functional tasks in the community. As I gained experience, I was promoted to my current position as Kinesiology Supervisor where I am responsible for teaching in-service workshops, supporting other mobile Kinesiologists in the company, as well as continuing with my own clients. I am self driven and motivated to complete my work independently, as well as very comfortable contributing to a team. I take great pride in empowering my clients to make positive changes in their lives and am interested in embarking on a new adventures within my profession.
I am certified to work in Community Centers across the lower mainland including: Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond, Delta, Surrey, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, and Maple Ridge
I am currently contracting for Sahara Rehab working with ICBC clients as a mobile Kinesiologist.
