I was born and raised on Vancouver Island where my passion for activity and sport began at a young age. I spent most of my time training as a competitive gymnast or outside playing soccer. During this time I got to experience both individual and team sport environments which led me to pursuing and obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Athletic and Exercise Therapy. During this time in school I spent 1500+ volunteer hours working with all levels of sport on the field of play as well as in the clinical setting focusing on emergency care, assessing, preventing, treating and rehabilitating concussions and musculoskeletal injuries. I believe that everyone is an athlete in their own way and deserves to have an individualized care and plan of action when dealing with short or long term injuries.
Currently I am practicing out of Island Optimal Health and Performance Center in Nanaimo, BC. I see a variety of patients varying from ICBC Active Rehabilitation clients, weekend warriors, Pre/Post-surgical cases, recreational and high performance athletes and more! My passion is helping others get back moving and doing what they love most!
