I am the owner and founder of Performance Institute, established in 1999. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia. I am a Kinesiologist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA, and author of the book Wheelchair Training. With a unique background training a broad range of clients looking to get in shape, perform better and be healthy. I have been the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC from 2006-2012, and worked extensively with various para-sports including the National Wheelchair Rugby Team, the National Wheelchair Tennis Team, the Men’s and Women’s National Wheelchair Basketball teams, the BC Para-Ski Team, as well as BC Wheelchair Athletics. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to train the Slovak National Hockey Team, Olympic Figure Skating Silver medalist Kevin Reynolds, 3-time National Figure Skating Champion Emanuel Sandhu, and have been a force in Hollywood North training such actors as Hugh Jackman, David Duchovny, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Zac Efron, Amanda Seyfried and Jessica Alba.
