Hi, I’m Melissa Gunstone, B.Kin, a Registered Kinesiologist and the founder of HomeStretch Active Living.
I specialize in helping older adults stay independent, confident, and mobile through evidence-based movement programs delivered right in their homes and communities. After years working alongside seniors and seeing how often preventable falls lead to ER visits, loss of confidence, and long-term injury, I built HomeStretch to bridge the gap between rehabilitation and real-life movement.
My approach focuses on fall prevention, balance, strength, and brain-body coordination, using programs that are practical, engaging, and tailored to each individual’s goals. Whether someone is recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or simply wants to age well and stay active, I meet clients where they are—both physically and emotionally.
In addition to working directly with clients, I collaborate with families, retirement residences, community organizations, and healthcare partners to deliver high-quality, client-centred kinesiology services across British Columbia.
Movement is medicine—but only when it’s done safely, consistently, and with purpose. That’s what I help people build.
