I graduated from Vancouver Island University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2023 and am a practicing member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).
I have experience working in active rehabilitation with clients of all ages, with a particular focus on pediatrics, strength and conditioning, and senior rehabilitation. For pediatric clients, I use a play-based model, believing that children learn best through natural curiosity and hands-on exploration of movement and life skills. In my work with seniors, I emphasize functional movement and strength training to promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being.
Growing up in Nanaimo, I played every sport available and eventually narrowed my focus to hockey and softball in high school. Having led an active lifestyle from a young age, I value the importance of fundamental movement skills and physical literacy. I believe movement is a form of freedom that every person, regardless of age or ability, deserves. My goal is to use exercise as a tool to reduce pain, enhance movement, and improve performance—whether in sports or everyday life.
I stay active by playing hockey year-round, practicing Olympic weightlifting, and backpacking the beautiful trails of Vancouver Island. With a competitive spirit and a love for challenges, I am always looking for new sports to try and new physical goals to achieve.
