Brittany is a practicing Kinesiologist, Pilates instructor, strength coach, and 4th year student of Osteopathy. Additional certifications include the Functional Movement Screen Level 2 (FMS 2), and the Soft Tissue Release Level 1 (STR 1). She has over 20 years of experience as a movement educator spanning across ages 2 to 92. Her movement background is in high performance athletics with ballet being her first passion, later adding in volleyball, and then cheerleading, which was both on the UBC varsity team and with the CFL for the BC Lions.
Her personal rehab journey began in 2019 after being hit by a car while biking to work, and she discovered the powerful healing combination of Pilates, strength training, and osteopathy. Brittany’s boundless enthusiasm for teaching is continually fueled by the joy that clients experience when they start to connect with their body and begin progressing towards movements and skills they didn’t believe were possible. Sessions with Brittany utilize a gentle approach in combination with precise movement training and manual therapy to cultivate a more balanced body.
Outside of work and school Brittany can be found trying to schedule more movement modalities than there are free hours in a week. Her favorite activities are ones where her dog can join: trail running, cross-country skiing, hiking, stand-up paddleboarding, and rock climbing. Brittany is excited to work with you and assist your return to, or advancement of, your favorite activities too!
