My passion for movement and training started as a young girl. I participated in ballet, lyrical, and jazz then transitioned to kickboxing. I kickboxed for 8 years and achieved my low- black belt. Kickboxing was incredible and it served as my sanctuary for a while but eventually, it also became my pitfall. I suffered three concussions, a shoulder injury, a fractured ankle, along with knee and hip problems, which are still a problem for me today . I knew I wanted to pursue movement as a career because I am fascinated by how the body works so I wanted to be more knowledgeable and apply what I’ve learned in order to help myself with my own injuries. Moreover I want to be able to help people come back from injuries while also preventing them in the long-term.
I completed my degree at the University of Saskatchewan, then moved back home to North Vancouver where I now work with clients of all ages and abilities. Coming from a Kinesiology background, I am now able to train myself in a way that is optimal to me and my history. I’ve helped many clients who suffer from a variety of chronic and/or acute injuries. Whether it is low back pain, knee or hip pain, shoulder impingement, concussions, you name it! Whatever your goal is, I am here to help you move and feel better, while also bulletproofing your body!
In my spare time, I love to read a variety of books (but I love Stephen King), ski in the winter, go hiking in the summer, and spend time with friends and family. I also enjoy hot yoga and pairing that with my training regimen in the gym! I believe in balance, which means I do my best to fuel my body with whole foods, fruits, vegetables, good carbohydrates, with lots of protein! My guilty pleasure meal is pizza and ice cream!
