I have been working in the fitness industry since I graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1983. In 2000 I went back to University to earn my Education degree, which has enabled me to teach a new generation of personal trainers. In my long & varied career as a kinesiologist, I have seen the value of exercise for physical, mental & social health. I feel fortunate to work in a job that I love, so I do my best to share my energy, enthusiasm & knowledge with my clients, friends & family. I enjoy working with people who want to reach their personal fitness & weight loss goals. I love seeing the smile on someone's face when they run their 1st 10 km race or reach a goal they thought was unattainable. I have been working with Veterans & ICBC clients for decades. Helping an injured person get back to work and resume their pre-accident lifestyle is especially rewarding to me.
I am a avid mountain biker, hiker, kayaker, cross country skier, hockey player and a passionate animal lover and environmentalist. When I am not working with clients in the gym or teaching at Okanagan college you will find me outside enjoying the beauty and diversity of British Columbia or inside researching the fascinating science of the human body.
