Rachel graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Interdisciplinary Kinesiology. She brings along a combined total of over ten years in track and field coaching and competing, personal training, sport performance coaching and kinesiology, working with people of various ages, demographics, and capabilities.
Rachel also was a track and field athlete competing in the NCAA's Division II in South Florida as a distance runner. Though her athletic career was cut short due to several compounding injuries and medical burnout, her downfall catalysed her true passion in getting people back doing the things they love. She learned the importance of approaching exercise, careful, thoughtful rehabilitation, and wellness management on an individual and holistic level.
Rachel believes that kinesiologists are the critical bridge between other allied health specialists (e.g. physios, chiros, RMTs) and achieving and maintaining one's physical health. Her philosophy lies in creating improved body awareness; precise, consistent and mindful practice; and fostering a newfound appreciation for movement, mind and the body.
In her spare time, Rachel loves researching the next great restaurant to experience, olympic weightlifting, cooking, making jokes that reference "The Office," and going on long walks with her boyfriend.
