Kimia received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (BSc Kin) specializing in Active Health and Rehabilitation from Simon Fraser University and is a current member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK). Kimia’s special interest in active rehabilitation and injury prevention has inspired her to work with patients of all ages. Kimia’s experience as a Rehabilitation Assistant has enabled her to provide treatments to a variety of children and adolescents, including children with Autism, Down Syndrome, muscle diseases, concussions, and Cerebral Palsy. Kimia has also worked as a group class instructor designing and supervising rehabilitation classes for patients with various conditions, such as osteoporosis, stroke, osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s, and heart disease, to name a few. Furthermore, through providing one-on-one personal training sessions to various clients, Kimia has been able to create customized programs to improve clients’ mobility, stability, flexibility, and strength.
Through patient-centered exercise prescriptions relevant to her clients’ goals, Kimia aims to enhance movement quality through evidence-based interventions. Kimia believes in the significance of working collaboratively with her patients, so they feel empowered to take control of their treatments and overall health. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with patients so that they can leave the sessions feeling confident in their movements.
