Hi, I’m Eric! I am a Registered Kinesiologist and Certified Biomechanics Specialist. I completed my undergraduate degree in Sport and Fitness Leadership with a major in Exercise and Wellness (a.k.a. Kinesiology) from Camosun College.
During my time at Camosun College, I was a dedicated athlete, competing in the sports of powerlifting and olympic weightlifting. While striving to better my own performance, I was also a personal trainer and powerlifting coach. My areas of training specialty were introductory strength training, fundamental movement patterns, powerlifting technique. During this time, I coached and worked with many clients ranging from general fitness go-ers to provincial-level athletes.
After experiencing multiple powerlifting-related injuries that ultimately led to me deciding to end my competitive career, I pivoted my focus away from the platform and discovered my passion for helping people overcome injury and maintain quality movement through all stages of life. I am a strong proponent of quality physical training that emphasizes simple and fundamental movement patterns.
Outside of Kinesiology, my interests include all things active. I enjoy lifting weights, indoor bouldering, road cycling, and taking in the beautiful outdoors of the west coast with my wife. Besides my active hobbies, I also have a passion for music and am a multi-instrumentalist.
