I am a practicing kinesiologist and founder of Peak Kinesiology (peakinesiology.net). I have been a practicing kinesiologist and member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists and the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance since 2000. I completed a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (Kinesiology) at the University of British Columbia in 1997 and completed a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology, at the University of Victoria in 2000.
I completed the Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation Certification program in 2013 and completed the Matheson Advanced Functional Capacity Evaluation course in 2016. I have conducted over 230 functional capacity evaluations to date. I have previously been accepted as an expert witness in the areas of functional capacity evaluation and active rehabilitation and I have testified as such.
My practice as a kinesiologist has primarily been focused on occupational rehabilitation. In addition to performing functional capacity evaluations and making recommendations based on those assessments, I perform ergonomic assessments, prepare cost of future care reports, write rebuttal reports, write medical reviews, and perform post-offer employment testing. My previous experience includes designing and implementing active rehabilitation programs for persons with various orthopedic injuries, as well as the design and monitoring of graduated return-to-work plans for injured workers. I also have experience and training with regard to managing and assessing post-concussion syndrome.
