I graduated from the University of British Columbia Vancouver in 1998 with a Bachelor in Human Kinetics. I started off my career working at the JM Buchanan Exercise Science Lab as an assistant. I then moved onto personal training and fitness assessment in private industry. Over the past twenty years, I have performed assessments including functional capacity and permanent functional impairment evaluations, job demands and worksite analyses, and post-offer employment tests.
I have also been involved in athletic training, personal training, military testing, cardiac care, ECG stress testing, and return to work planning and coaching. I have designed, implemented and monitored exercise and testing programs. I have been providing Functional Capacity Evaluations and testing services for the following: private insurers, public and private corporations, the Workers’ Compensation Board of BC and the medical legal community. I have qualified in the Supreme Court of Canada as an expert witness in the area of Kinesiology, Functional Assessments and Return to Work Planning.
I am a trained evaluator who uses the ARCON system as well as Matheson ideologies. I have attended the Roy Matheson & Associates MTM’s and Functional Capacity Evaluation course as well as I am qualified and certified as an Arcon Functional Capacity Evaluator. I currently perform Quality Assurance on medical legal reports for independent medical examinations. I currently work as a Quality Assurance Manager with Viewpoint Medical.
