Nathan’s passion for exercise science and coaching began in high school when he observed a friend overcome enormous injuries to pursue the sports that he loved. He graduated in 2018 with a degree in human kinetics, and later acquired an NSCA CSCS certification, and a license as a registered kinesiologist. Since then, Nathan has worked with a variety of populations, from youth to aging adults, athletes to rehabilitative and medical referrals. He approaches every client differently, using critical problem solving and personalized solutions to find results. After 6 years of studying and working in Vancouver, Nathan has returned home to the Bulkley Valley. He enjoys working in such a highly active community, and coaching people towards success in their athletic endeavours. When he is not coaching, there isn’t much that Nathan enjoys more than a powdery shred, an angry black coffee, and a stirring conversation with friends.
“Some of the most rewarding moments of my coaching experience are the moments when a client's perspective of their future transforms. People often doubt that accomplishing their goals are even possible, be it overcoming an injury, fat loss, or a seemingly unattainable athletic goal. But there is a moment when, despite their doubt, my clients realize that they are making progress, and that the progress is measurable and provable. Their perspective of what is possible is turned upside down. That is an experience I wish everyone could have. The barriers that stand between people and their aspirations are challenging, but we are in the business of overcoming challenging things.”
