Arissa has always had a passion for learning about the human body and mind-body connection. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. During her degree, she worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the university varsity teams, as well as the Olympic Alpine ski and luge teams. Additionally, she spent 4 years coaching club basketball.
In addition to being a Registered Kinesiologist, Arissa is also an Osteopathic practitioner, having completed the 5 year program at the Canadian School of Osteopathy Manual Practice.
Arissa has experience coaching a wide range of athletes, from high school to Olympic athletes of various sports, as well as clinical rehabilitation including post-MVA and post-surgical cases. She has seen firsthand the impact of proper movement patterns and training on all facets of an individual’s life. She believes in a holistic, full body approach to determine the true causes of dysfunction in the body. Through biomechanical analysis and specific exercise prescription she works to enable clients to return to activities that keep their minds and bodies happy and healthy, and moving with confidence.
