Nick draws his strength as a coach from both experiential and academic knowledge in the fields of Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Sport Psychology, Sport Sociology, and Leadership. Nick’s academic pursuits have been accomplished in the Exercise, Physical Health, and Education faculty of University of Victoria and at the Pacific Institute of Sports Excellence faculty of Camosun College. His pursuit of personal excellence has led him through a B. Sport and Fitness Leadership (Exercise and Wellness) and a M. Kinesiology (Sport Psychology).
As an athlete, Nick has competed under his own team TriNerds brand as well as under the Team Canada flag at several World Championship events (Spain 2014, Australia 2015, USA 2015, Spain 2016, Canada 2017, Spain 2019), where he continues to compete with the help of his sponsors.
Always seeking to improve his knowledge and experience, Nick has several NCCP designations (including Para-Rowing, Para-Track & Field/Throws, Intro to Competition Cycling) and has worked with athletes with a range of abilities (Elite U17 cyclists, Varsity swim team, Pan-Pacific Games swimmers, first time runners and triathletes) and is always willing to engage with anyone who is willing to put in the work to achieve their best results.
