I am a graduate from the University of British Columbia Okanagan’s Kinesiology/Human Kinetics Bachelor program (Clinical branch) who has completed an Honours thesis on the effects of oral ketone supplements on TNF-Alpha on people living with type two diabetes.
I have experience creating/executing workout routines from my time as a Physiotherapist assistant and as an Athletic Trainer focusing on fitness and/or rehabilitation depending on the situation. I have been developing a deeper understanding of lab techniques/processes/equipment thanks to my honours thesis. I volunteered and then was employed by Crowfoot Physio in Calgary AB in the summer from 2019-2021 as a physiotherapist assistant. In addition, I completed my practicum there in 2021. During my time at Crowfoot Physio, I was able to learn many skills such as how to use variety of therapeutic machines (including Cold laser, IFC, Ultrasound, and more), cupping therapy and patient screening while also gaining a deep understanding of how to use functional movement as a tool for patient assessment and rehabilitation.
I can offer you a strong work ethic, initiative, effective time management and diverse experience gained through my past employment and volunteer work. I am dedicated and reliable, open to learning new areas and can work independently and as part of a team. I believe the combination of my academics, work and volunteer experience has been invaluable in developing my skills and overall capabilities. I would love to continue learning in this role!
